Scribbles

I loved these books. They had them translated here, but I am yet to find the original --English-- version of the book.

Bartimaeus is just one of an array of vividly portrayed characters. He happens to be a Djinn, and under the control of a kid, Nathaniel, and will only be released once his bidding is done.
The trilogy is set in an alternate-earth, where the Cabinet is made pretty much of magicians. It tells the story of Nathaniel and how he progresses into adulthood. You really learn to hate and love these characters. A recommended reading.
