John Milton's Paradise Lost is an epic poem of the battle between Lucifer and his fallen angels against God and His, the fall of man into temptation, and the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.
Written in ten books (some version 12) and in beautiful poetry, this one isn't a classic for beginners.
